The 10th Edition of the ITA Tunnelling and Underground Space Awards has issued a last call for entries. The 2024 edition will take place on 28th November, in Genoa, Italy in conjunction with the two-days international conference “Tunnels and Underground Works: over the last 5 decades and onwards” organized by the Italian Tunnelling Society (SIG) from 29th – 30th November 2024. These events are organized as part of the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of ITA and SIG.
Entries can be submitted up until June 30th, 2024. The submission requirements and selection process are stated in the ITA Tunnelling Awards website: https://awards.ita-aites.org/account-creation
The entries can be submitted in 8 categories:
- Major Project of the Year – over €500 million
· Project of the Year – up to €50 million & €500 million
· Project of the Year up to €50 million
· Project of the Year – Renovation projects
· Technical Innovation of the Year
· Product/Equipment innovation of the year
· Beyond Engineering – Making underground works projects even better
· Young Tunneller of the Year
Nominations for the different categories must be related to projects for which the major civil engineering work was completed between 1st March 2021 and 1st April 2024
The Young Tunneller of the Year rewards an individual born after 1st January 1989 and who has brought an outstanding contribution to tunnelling.
